“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.” — Calvin Coolidge
Growing up in Dallas, I was a member of the MYF at Lovers Lane Methodist Church. (The old church on Lovers Lane.) Each year at one point we got on a bus and went to the “Projects.” We knocked on each door and handed out plastic canes filled with candy, and little cards with the Christmas story printed for all to read. I later in life met a man who grew up in those same “Projects” and he told me of the time some teenagers came to his door. He told of how finding out that someone cared about him made all the difference in his life.
Whose life will you impact this year?
