Billy Graham sat incognito at an open-air crusade. He was scheduled to speak the next evening, but this day he was among the audience. When the speaker gave an altar call, Billy Graham tapped the shoulder of the gentleman in front of him. He asked, “Would you like to accept Christ? I’ll be glad to walk down with you if you want to.” The man said, “Naw, I think I’ll just wait till the big gun comes tomorrow night.”
One rainy Sunday at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in Washington D.C., a car pulled up to a side door, and the chauffer approached the door to ask the man standing there whether or not Dr. Marshall would be preaching that day. As it turned out, it was in fact Dr. Marshall who was at the door, and he said, “I don’t know about that, but I do know that God will be there.”
This week, ask yourself what you are waiting for?
